West Coast gas plant probe delays project
The Peace River West Coast Transmission gas processing plant project manager John Van Dyke was relieved of duties amid investigations into alleged cost overruns and mismanagement. The board of inquiry, with outside members, continues probes after a private security firm report cited bribes and improper practices. West Coast officials deny higher level involvement as auditors confirm no wrongdoing. The $86.5 million plant at Chetwynd proceeds while investigations unfold.
