Discovering the Pine Pass part four by Jim Nichols
In August 1879 George Dawson traversed the Pine Valley tracking a trail over the northern hills to Hulcross Creek and west Moberly. He notes frost after warm days, surveys the Sukunka and Murray regions for stock range, and concludes Pine Pass could support railway construction with 93 miles easy, 108.5 total by river valley.
