Vern Taylor Named Firefighter of the Year for 2006
Vern Taylor, a 20 year Chetwynd firefighter, named Firefighter of the Year for 2006 at Cottonwood Hall ceremony. He is battling cancer and could not attend. his wife and family accepted the award. Fire Chief Leo Sabulsky praised Taylor for leadership, strength, and community impact, noting a prayer gathering of 30 firefighters for his healing.
