LIP Grants total 90300 go to four BC communities
Four area groups share LIP grants totaling 90300 with two groups in Chetwynd and two in Moberly Lake. Chetwynd funds improve parks fire hall ball diamonds and records mapping. B C A N S I gains a recreation area on Wabi Crescent and a liaison for schools. Moberly Lake programs fund kindergarten transport crafts instructor school maintenance and playground supervisor. A youth center dock benches and upgrades also funded.

Remembrance Day Parade Remembers in Chetwynd
At 9:50 a.m. parade forms at Hotel Chetwynd and moves to the cenotaph under Parade Marshall Comrade R Blair. The wreath laying follows in order with numerous local groups including Royal Canadian Legion, Legion Auxiliary, RCMP, Chetwynd Firemen, Chamber of Commerce, Village of Chetwynd, Lions Club, Scouts, Brownies, and others led by Mayor M Hayward. After wreaths, parade proceeds to Legion Hall for the service.

Bus slides off road in bad visibility near Chetwynd
A Greyhound bus traveling from Prince George to Chetwynd ran off a road about 40 miles south of Chetwynd as swirling winds reduced visibility. Fifteen passengers received minor injuries at Chetwynd Hospital and were discharged the same day.
