Blueprint for rural health research in Prince George
The first national rural health research conference in Prince George October 23 to 25 drew about 120 delegates. A blueprint for nationwide rural health research aims to improve care in Canada’s rural northern areas through collaboration, community involvement, and better dissemination of results to practitioners and the public. Dr Mo Watanabe urged evidence based action over anecdote, stressing research to establish facts. Also included are tips on local winter produce from B C stores and practical cooking ideas using root vegetables and apples.
