Quiet Victoria long weekend for PG region fires
The Prince George Forest Region logged only three new fires over the long weekend. Fire 92 in Fort St. John burned six hectares as an escape, now patrolled and posing no hazard. Two Robson Valley fires, caused by lightning, remained spot fires. one was extinguished by rain and the other within four hours. Total hectare burn for the season sits just over 470, with moist weather reducing risk but drought conditions leaving potential for future increases.
