Drug Free Zones extend around Chetwynd area schools
RCMP now enforces Drug Free Zones within two blocks of all Chetwynd schools. The zones operate 24/7, applying to public and private property, with penalties under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. A cooperative program includes RCMP, six schools, School District 59, and local services. Sunday’s Family Fest drew hundreds of families and volunteers, celebrated by the festival committee.
