Tragic House Fire Kills Two Infants Near Chetwynd
Early morning blaze 17 miles west of Chetwynd claimed the lives of Thomas Frederick Mackay four and James Robert Mackay two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mackay. A babysitter and a downstairs occupant escaped only to learn the heat and smoke prevented rescue. Inquest ordered later.

Ambulance Ordered by Chetwynd Village Council
The Chetwynd Ambulance Society has ordered a new ambulance funded by the village Society Jaycees and service clubs. Estimated cost seven thousand dollars with five thousand from the village and one thousand already raised by the Society. The Jaycees plan to raise another thousand from the Chetwynd Rodeo beer garden to replace the 1967 station wagon with a Ford Econoline.
