Council eyes bylaw to allow garden tractors on streets

Cindy Stender appeared as a delegate urging an amendment to the commercial vehicle licensing bylaw to permit garden tractors on district streets to help teens mow lawns and clear snow. Administration will study policies at other municipalities and staff will draft bylaw options. The rest of the council agenda including airport plan updates, land rezoning near Jackfish Lake Road, a Budweiser Kings Ball beer garden, bus services expansion, and a $1000 playground grant were discussed or approved in principle.
