Transition house to open by Jennifer Correa in Chetwynd
The Ministry of Women's Equality says a new women s transition house will open in Chetwynd after the previous Herstory House run by the Chetwynd Women s Resource Centre Society was closed on October 17, 1995. A bidder meeting in December drew eleven representatives from Chetwynd Dawson Creek and Fort St. John as plans to award a February 1995 to September 1995 contract fell through.
