Crane truck crash on Highway 97 near Pine Pass injures driver
A crane truck driver suffered serious injuries when the rig lost control on a steep hill and overturned on Highway 97 about 90 km south of Chetwynd. The vehicle hit a cement barrier, slid several hundred feet, and halted. The driver was treated at Mackenzie Hospital then Prince George Hospital. Passersby received thanks for aiding at the scene before the highway reopened to alternating traffic. The crane was removed the next day.
