Peace River riding stays true blue in Canadian election
Canadians voted in a landmark election with a Conservative majority and an NDP opposition. In Prince George Peace River Conservatives led by Bob Zimmer won about 60 percent with Lois Boone NDP close behind. Voter turnout rose to 53.9 percent in the riding and nationally to 61.4 percent as Harper and Layton secured their seats.
