The Liberal move strips B C of any veto power, allowing Saskatchewan and Manitoba to veto B C despite population imbalances, risking the Pacific region’s distinct status. Oberle argues the change ignores history, undermines B C’s interests, and entrenches Ontario and Quebec privileges.
