Cantor to purchase Swanson Lumber in Canada
Canadian Forest Products Ltd Cantor and Koppers Company Inc announced Canfor will acquire 100 percent of Swanson Lumber Co Ltd. Swanson operates woodlands and mills at Fort St John High Level and Chisholm with 210 million board feet yearly capacity and 85 BC plus 200 Alberta employees. Canfor will maintain operations and employment. Swanson International Canada Ltd. is not included. Purchase price not disclosed.

Loggers Sports Day draws largest May attendance in Chetwynd
The ninth annual Loggers Sports Day in Chetwynd on May 16 drew the largest crowd since the event began nine years ago.
