Wager sentenced to one year on drug charges
Walter Wager and Leona Collins faced charges of possession for trafficking with Collins' case stayed. Wager pled guilty to possession of narcotics and not guilty to trafficking. Police found 12 bags of marijuana and about 25 grams of cocaine with purity near 70 percent. Marijuana of Red Hair variety found. total street value about 28000. Paraphernalia and 1364 seized. Wagar, 28, with two children in Vancouver and two in Chetwynd, had no prior record. Sentencing discussed with wide range from fines to lengthy jail terms.

Regional District opens expanded office in Alaska Avenue

District council enacts bicycle licensing by law
The District Council has introduced a Bicycle Licensing By-law to reduce theft and loss of bicycles.
