ICBC expands voluntary reinspections of repaired vehicles and remains under fire from Lower Mainland body shops over estimates and rates. The program invites owners to have their cars checked by the same ICBC office that did the original estimate, with ICBC acting as mediator if repairs fall short. Copies of the guides are available at Autoplan brokers and ICBC offices.
On Sunday April 23 several Chetwynd churches gathered at the Evangelical Free Church for a Gideon song fest with each church performing up to three songs. Pastor Beck and Wim Jensen spoke about Gideon work and Bible distribution to Africa. The Dawson Creek Camp oversees Bibles for designated countries and the offering neared 6000000 dollars to fund Bibles in Swaziland, aiding many in trouble areas. Pastor Bill invites callers to learn more about Gideons or meet Don at the car wash.
Government proposals to track tourist inquiries raise concerns about government control while many call for local autonomy in Victoria and Peace River areas. A warehouse holds over 6000 in non conforming signs, and the group plans a letter to the Victoria Minister of Highways. PRAHTA elects Bob George as president with next meeting at Powder King and Mackenzie.
