Disney World Carnival Skating Club Presents Ninth Annual Show
The Little Giant Figure Skating Club stages its 9th Annual Carnival with a Disney World theme. Two performances occur March 20 at 8:00 p.m. and March 21 at 1:00 p.m. Crowning of the Queen is at 1:00 p.m. March 21. Guest skaters Rob Arndt and Valerie Lloyd join from Edmonton. Tickets advance at Hart Hiway and Girards or at the door.

Bridge contract awarded for Twidell Bend on Pine River road
Penitton firm Kenyon Construction Ltd. wins a 2.88 million dollar contract to build the Twidell Bend bridge on the Chetwynd-Tumbler Ridge access road near Pine River. The 158.6 metre long structure will have four spans of about 39.65 metres, with five steel plate girders per span and a 9.76 metre deck. Transportation minister Alex Fraser and Industry minister Don Phillips announced the award.

Phillips to Open Tunnel Ceremony for Major Project
Minister Don Phillips will lead an official ceremony to start construction on the Major tunnel in the Table east heading northeast coal development area.
