A Toronto study by Dr. B E Robson shows 18 and 19 year olds with separated or divorced parents are less likely to plan marriage or children. Only 60 percent plan marriage. about one in twenty would have children without marrying. Those with married parents largely plan both. The report notes a lingering ideal of single love despite trends, while warning of broader regional impacts from declining forest supplies on jobs and growth.

1 900 km coal train route to Ridley Island and Tacheeda
The 1 900 km round trip from Tumbler Ridge to Ridley Island takes about 75 hours. Coal unit trains, 100 cars, require four hours to load at Tumbler Ridge and five hours to unload. BC Rail takes delivery of the third of seven electric locomotives for the 80 km extension between Tumbler Ridge and Tacheeda Siding. From Tacheeda, trains will use diesels to the CN Vancouver system at Prince George then to the new Ridley Island coal terminal near Prince Rupert. Locomotives cost about 52.5 million each, built by General Motors in London, Ontario.
