Moberly Lake School closure plans dominate district talks
In School District 59, enrolment decline creates 2340 empty desks with 2015 as the turning point. Plan A would close Moberly Lake Elementary and sell several sites to save about 1.19 million dollars. Plan B would relocate French Immersion, merge schools, and save 1.57 million ongoing. Public meetings in May and April votes will decide the shift.
