The Six Beer Gardens Debate In Chetwynd
At last Tuesday's council meeting in Chetwynd the district discussed a six beer gardens limit proposed by Sergeant Lyle Burt. Councillors questioned the rationale with concerns the cap may not reduce activity since all gardens could run the same weekend, leaving RCMP stretched across a large area. The council plans to consult Burt again to clarify the reasoning behind the number six.
