Road upgrades in Peace Region include highway 97 work
The Ministry of Transportation unveils several road improvement projects in the Peace Region around Chetwynd. Major work on Highway 97 and the John Hart Highway includes Bisset Creek bridge replacement and widening 2 km south of Taylor. Total funding exceeds 56 million dollars with 21.8 million awarded to Jacob Bros. Construction Ltd. Completion is slated for September 2015 and aims to boost capacity and safety on the corridor.
