ICBC Seeks Safer Cars With Free How To Buy A Better Auto
ICBC launches a free brochure listing safety and security features for 1993 vehicles and priced to influence buyer choices. Prepared by John Gane, the guide ranks vehicles by size from compact Geo and Honda Civics to full size Buick Roadmaster and Mercedes models, with vans and trucks included. If just five percent of new buyers are swayed, ICBC estimates savings of over four million dollars in claims over five years, reducing premium dollars BC motorists must pay. The program aims to push safer, more secure models as 1995 and 1994 models roll out, with findings to be reported in the next edition due January.
