Dust control program sees no complaints this year
The District reports zero complaints about its oil based dust control program, a contrast to last year when residents flooded the office with grievances. Director Dave Komaike notes no irate calls this season. In 1995 trials varied, some oils leaving residue on cars and footwear, then homes. This year a pricier mix with gravel was used, except for two streets in the Rodeo Subdivision 42 Street north of 52 Avenue and 53 Avenue east of 42 Street were left untreated.
