BC puts tough case against Northern Gateway pipeline
British Columbia officials in final argument to the National Energy Board say Northern Gateway has not met rules. They cite inadequate and possibly inaccurate evidence and warn Enbridge cannot be trusted to learn from past spills. The province seeks detailed spill response plans and strong First Nations consultation before any certificate. The JRP will rule in December with federal cabinet decision expected in early 2014.
