Good response to air exercise in Chetwynd draws crowd
The Air Search and Rescue exercise in Chetwynd last weekend attracted many participants and was praised as a successful event funded by the Provincial Emergency Program via the Prince George Regional Office. A Twin Otter from 440 Squadron Edmonton made a precise approach to Chetwynd Airport, with markers dropped and two parachutists landing on target. Aircraft crew included Captain Bill Veldhuis and Lt John Fitzsimmons, plus Cpls Ron Anderson Fred Denninger Gerry Dominic and Mepl Lyle Waun. Air search and rescue operations are conducted by the 440 Edmonton or Comox Rescue units.
