Scientists fingerprint Pine River residue after high water tests
AMEC technologists Chris Pfohl and Lindsay Connick surveyed about 10 kilometres of the Pine River near Chetwynd after record rainfall created new channels and moved material downstream. Nine contaminated areas were found. oily sheen observed though origin uncertain. Fingerprinting will compare last week samples with those from the August 2000 pipe rupture to determine origin. Results due in a couple of months.
