Voyageurs Students Travel From Chetwynd to Vancouver
Six high school students from Chetwynd along with classmates from Fort St. John flew to Vancouver on Tuesday to join other British Columbia youths in The Young Voyageurs Program. Accompanying them were trip escorts Mr. and Mrs. D B McLaren of Fort St. John. The program is a joint venture of the federal government through the Department of State, the ten provincial governments and the administrations of Yukon and the Northwest Territories. It emphasizes travel and people exchanges to benefit young Canadians.

No Photos for Chetwynd Driver Licences Under New Rules
Chetwynd will no longer issue driver licences locally as photos must be taken elsewhere. Davey from Dawson Creek Motor Vehicles says exams and photos shift to Dawson Creek for all applicants, with tests also moved to Dawson Creek or Hudson Hope. Appointments will be required at Hudson Hope’s village office for limited hours.
