Premier W A C Bennett will kick off the Socred election drive in Chetwynd on August 1. He will travel by private railcar Tuesday morning to meet candidate Don Phillips, then proceed to Hudson Hope for lunch and to Fort St. John for a public meeting that evening. The tour continues to Dawson Creek with visits to South Peace points of interest and a 8:30 p.m. Undhagah Hall meeting, doors open at 7:30.

Roads designated under Scenic Improvement Act
The Department of Highways will cooperate with the Peace River Liard regional district to designate highways under the Scenic Improvement Act.
