Dedication Park planned for Chetwynd revitalization
In Chetwynd the District, Chainsaw Sculpture Committee and Revitalization Committee unveil plans for Dedication Park at 51st Street. The site features two eight foot chainsaw bench sculptures, a four-sculpture planter with fossil-stone rocks, time capsule, central 20 metre diameter brick plaza, and night lighting. Park expansion moves the IGA entrance and reduces some angle parking. Funding includes a two year business tax totaling about $70,000 and district support. completion shifted to the end of the summer due to busy contractors.
