Community salutes Dean and Moreen Westgate retirement
About 250 friends and family gathered at the Elks Hall in Chetwynd on Saturday July 8 to honor Dean and Moreen Westgate on their retirement. They arrived from Lloydminster in 1956 and built a local grocery store with wide community involvement, including coaching baseball and leading the Community Ladies Club. The celebration featured remarks, gifts from multiple groups, speeches reflecting their decades of service, and thanks from many neighbors and friends.
