Voyageur travel program engages B C students
Five hundred forty eight B C secondary students join the twelfth annual Young Voyageur Program. In summer and fall 25 groups, each with 10 boys and 10 girls plus two adults, travel to eastern cities for a week with host families and time in Ottawa. Visitors from the east will reciprocate. Participants are aged 14 to 17.

Scouts head to World Jamboree in Lillehammer Norway
Eleven BC Peace River scouts and leader Yogi Jorgensen travel with 1300 Canadian scouts by air to Copenhagen then by train and bus to the Jamboree site.
