Valemount rodeo rider remembered as one of Canada's best

Makwala Derickson Hall, an acclaimed Canadian bull rider and recent high school graduate from Mr Boucherie, was killed after being bucked and trampled at the Valemount Rodeo. RCMP say he died after emergency treatment at the Valemount Health Unit. He had qualified for next weekend’s High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette and for the Canadian championship in Virden. His family requested public release of his name and band status. The case is under investigation by the BC Coroner service.
