District to demolish the old Motor Inn this fall
Citing the Community Charter the District will force the Motor Inn owners to demolish the crumbling building or proceed with district demolition. Chief Administrative Officer Doug Fleming says the project will go to tender, likely costing hundreds of thousands, with the aim to boost the downtown tax base and pave a new vision for the area.
