Al Westcott of Dawson Creek was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the BC Lung Association at its annual meeting in Vancouver. Spillway operation amid ongoing sinkhole probe expands
The utility notes no new sinkholes beside a second pipe found near the initial hole with no issues near that line. Friday morning discharge reached 180 000 cfs from the lake as Hydro opens the spillway to aid a sinkhole investigation. Flow had been held at 175 000 cfs for 10 days due to upstream runoff and downstream inflows, now receding. The spill is planned to continue into late July or early August.
