Chetwynd looks back at local events this week years ago
A past week recalls the National Farmers Union strike picket at Chetwynd Grain and Feed and the forthcoming Chetwynd Hospital project expected to employ about 31 people when it opens, likely in 1971. The Chetwynd & District Library Association elected six board members including James Grant and Fernando Campbell. Labor and civic activity marked the period with ambulance calls, charity drives, and local recognitions.
