University of the Arctic links UNBC to northern education
The University of Northern British Columbia Senate endorsed joining the University of the Arctic, a “university without walls” uniting northern colleges to deliver courses on circumpolar issues. UNBC will help plan and develop programs including a Circumpolar Studies bachelor’s degree with web access. Greg Poelzer and Scott Forrest are among the UNBC participants, with meetings slated at UNBC in January and cooperation with the University of Lapland.
