Sisters from Ursulines join Parish of Our Lady of Peace in Chetwynd
The Ursulines of Jesus, an international congregation founded in 1802, arrived in Canada in 1911 and have settled in Alberta. In Chetwynd since August 23, 1994, Sisters Maura Carey, Ann Coster, and Hazel Dalton serve with Father Terry Brock, aid in Hudson Hope, Moberly Lake and Tumbler Ridge, teach catechetics, assist at the hospital, and strive to involve parishioners in church life.

Change Brings Challenge Sherri Peters Embraces Shifts
Sherri Peters, who married at 16 to Marshall Peters, has faced many changes over the years. She helped raise relatives, ran Chetwynd Motors with partners, and later managed the Village Glamourette before joining Chetwynd Veterinary Clinic staff. After Marshall’s 1992 passing, she owned Winks Convenience Store and the Marleesha Kennel, and now pursues Canadian Kennel Club judging permits. In February she will attend the Westminster Dog Show in New York City, where the five day event culminates in a 2,500-dog show, with Champion Altana's Mystique favored in the competition.
