BC Gas Opposes NEB Delay on Westcoast Toll Additions
The National Energy Board postponed hearings on Westcoast Energy Inc. proposed $925k to $1.275m gas gathering and processing facilities added to pipeline tolls. BC Gas argues the facilities mainly serve eastern Canada and U S markets and would raise BC customers bills by about 50 to 100 dollars yearly. BC Gas asserts NEB lacks authority to regulate such facilities and seeks to challenge federal regulatory reach.
