Forestry program teaches value added forest skills
A pilot Integrated Small Scale Forestry Program trains six 18 to 25 year olds in horse logging, portable sawmill work, log homes, furniture making, and business basics. Led by Nick Garbitt and Reg Whiten, the course aims to keep wood jobs local and may expand to a March start if successful.
