CF men form union at Chetwynd Forest Industries
Chetwynd Forest Industries negotiates its first contract after workers received certification by the Labor Relations Board to International Woodworkers Local 1424 on November 30. The plant employs about 26 workers across two shifts in the stud mill and one shift in the planet. Bargaining teams include company members Frank Oberle Ed Anderson and Larry Lewin against IWA local president Jim Mitchell and Business Agent Bob Birchette. Ski Tow Opens at Chetwynd on Weekends
