Chamber grant urged as investment in future

Westcoast reports higher 1981 earnings and sales decline
Westcoast Transmission posts 1981 net income of 68.693 million, up from 51.826 million, with per share rising to 1.67 after preferred dividends. Consolidated revenue reaches 1.2703 billion, cash flow 172.699 million. Q4 net income hits 20.032 million. gas sales fall to 278 billion cubic feet. Deliveries to Canadian utilities down, exports fall from 155 to 134 Bcf. Earnings gain aided by NEB rate increases and Alaska Highway Gas Pipeline project. Dividend of 26 cents declared payable March 31, 1982 to record March 5, 1982.
