Chetwynd Wins Sno Golf Tourney At Moberly Lake Club
The Chetwynd team led by Frank Campbell won the Moberly Lake and District Golf Club Sno Golf Tournament held February 11 and 12. Kris Johnston shot 36 for the lowest score. Bernice McMillan had the highest score at 101. Other prizes went to oldest golfer Tom Wilson and youngest Trevor MacLean. John P Walkden earned the long drive award. Trading Post donated six prizes and an Odyssey car raffle concluded with B Walkden drawing.

Phillips Announces School Expansion and Village Plan
Don Phillips MLA announced two provincial funding approvals at a Chamber of Commerce event on February 18. A $173,000 grant will fund a music room and home economics room at Chetwynd Elementary Secondary School, enabling construction soon. The province will cover $20,000 of the $25,000 cost for the village plan, described as forward looking and citizen-proud.

Free legal lectures tonight at Senior Secondary School
The first free Legal Lectures will be given tonight at 7 30 p m in Room 10 at the Senior Secondary School. A big turnout is expected. The Stress & Anxiety seminar was canceled for lack of pre registrations though regrets were expressed. Lecturers come from out of town so pre registration is necessary to save them a wasted trip. An Art program was hoped to form.
Minister urges chambers to unite for BC growth road map
Don Phillips, Minister of Economic Development, told the Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce during a northern tour that chambers can amplify small town voices to government. He urged communities to showcase proposals to reduce red tape, attract investment, and build a larger tax base, arguing a confident, collaborative approach benefits industries and social services.
