Chamber seeks ideas for Main Street beautification project

Effluent treatment details at Site One Dam project
Public relations spokesman Dave Robertson confirms effluent from the Site One Dam project is treated at the plant under a Pollution Control Branch permit. The project uses extended aeration and chlorination, with an amended permit allowing 80 000 imperial gallons daily. About 1 100 workers are employed at peak. Devonian Group will meet with the Chamber of Commerce on February 21 to discuss the project, with the Village Council also to discuss all aspects. Main Street Committee members welcome comments.
