Water Cleanup Progress And Community Meeting In Prince George

After a two day meeting in Prince George, officials and residents discussed cleanup progress at the Pembina spill site. More than 52,000 tonnes of contaminated soil removed and river water cleanup largely done before ice formed.

Regional District cancels counter petition on library funding bylaw

On February 13 the Peace River Regional District Board cancelled the counter petition process for Library Services Funding By-law 1329. Chair Karen Gooding cited listening to rural residents. Participating areas include Dawson Creek Pouce Coupe Tumbler Ridge Taylor Hudsons Hope Fort St John and part of Electoral Area E. Chetwynd Library has not joined regional library funding.
