Canfor Corporation reported a 2000 net income of 125.6 million dollars or 1.50 per common share, with 1999 earnings at 102.6 million dollars. Net sales rose 30 percent, and operating income reached 263.6 million, the highest in company history. CEO David Emerson warned markets remain unsettled through early 2001 as lumber prices stay low ahead of the Softwood Lumber Agreement expiry.
