Site One hydro turbine and generator contracts awarded
BC Hydro has authorized contracts for Site One hydroelectric development. Four Francis-type turbines governors from EMEC Trading Limited and four generators from Mitsubishi Canada Limited will be used, with all four contracts valued around 25 million dollars each. Energomachexport also supplied two turbines and governors for the Mica project. Tender readings were for identification only, and the award follows careful evaluation. Enrollment at Dawson Creek and area schools rose in January from December, with 5,835 total students across elementary and secondary levels.
