BCN nurses seek higher pay and better hours in contract talks
BC nurses press for top front line pay rising from 26.50 to 42 per hour and mileage rates to 1.25 a kilometre while more than 1000 ambulance paramedics reject a tentative settlement over a 42 hour work week. The union cites health and retention concerns and calls on government to return to bargaining. Public support urged to contact political leaders.
