Peace River power powers British Columbia economy
BC Hydro operates two Peace River facilities near Hudsons Hope creating Williston and Dinosaur reservoirs. The plants generate a third of provincial electricity, support low rates, and aid BC businesses. Reservoirs boost transport for logs and ore, spur recreation, and host visitor centres. The PWFWCP funds fish and wildlife projects with about 1.26 million annual budget.
