Northern Health bus service fights low ridership in year one
In its first year the Northern Health Connections bus service carried only six passengers weekly on the Hudson's Hope Fort St. John route and 14 on the Chetwynd Dawson Creek Grande Prairie run. The program logs 4,500 riders overall across 15 weekly routes with fares from 20 to 80 dollars. Officials cite weak uptake due to north east economy and Monday schedules, and NH plans aggressive marketing to attract riders.
