Books N Bytes becomes BC's first library internet cafe
Chetwynd hosts the grand opening of Books N Bytes, the first internet café in a BC public library. Mayor Evan Sangstad cut the ribbon on August 22, with local dignitaries, Library Board members, staff, and community members in attendance. Fay Asleson credited extensive planning and library research, noting no other BC libraries run cafés. The project was financed largely by Peace River Regional District and Fair Share funds, with Tim Caton praising the collaboration.
